Munni begum is a very popular Pakistani ghazal female singer. Munni begum real name is Nadira. Munni begum ia an American national,based in Chicago, IL,USA. Munni Begum was born in Murshidabad,West Bengal,Indian. Munni Begum first start taking music training from the popular singer Ustad Khwaja Mustafa Warsi. Subsequently,she studied in the school of music for years,and there after she launched her career.  
Munni Begum's parents migrated from India to East Pakistan in the early 1950's East Pakistan later became independeant Banglandesh. Munni Begum studies in PAF shaheen school, Dhaka, however, Munni Begum moved to Pakistan before graduating from high school, due to Bangladesh independence war of 1971. She began career as a singer in Karachi,Pakistan in 1970s. Munni Begum released her 1st album of ghazals in 1976. It became a smash hit and broke all previous records. 23 March 2008,Governor DR Ishrat-ul-Ibad conferred the Pride of Performance qward upon legendary singer Munni Begum at a simple ceremony held at Governor's house in Karachi.Pakistan. Munni Begum is married, and has 2 daughters, and a one son.
